An innovative mount for a tablet and a gesture recognition system.

A unique, re-configurable iPad stand intended to be attached to any arm chair. The stand also securely holds a leap motion within range of the users hand to allow for gesture control of the fastened device. The final intent of the device is confidential.An unique micro-suction pad allows for easy fastening/removal of a wide array of devices.

The greatest challenge was to develop a system that created just the right amount of resistance to movement while still maintaining adjustability. The device was designed to be used with only one hand without any locking mechanisms.

Ideation began with many sketches and iterations of how the smooth locking mechanism might work.

After creating a 3d model, details were resolved and simulations were completed.

Components were 3d printed and tested prior to manufacturing the final prototype.

Final components were manufactured and ready for polish and finalization.
