The Future of Material Understanding
A speculative vision of a world with unlimited, intuitive, context driven knowledge of the world. A world where ones interactions with the physical realm can be calculated and fluid, guided by digital information through new channels of communication.
This quest began with a proposition for a future where people train for experiences in the virtual world through their interaction with the physical.
Synaesthetic phenomena became the focus of my research, with the central question of:
Can we develop a new language for the material world, through the digital?
Throughout this experimental process, I quickly learned of a method to quickly train object-orientation feedback with people through specific haptic communication methods and propose a future in which people interpret physical information through digital experiences.
“How can one feel something not immediately present?”
