Learn to Fail. Make a paper bicycle.
Learning EXP Design methodology:
The EXP design process is a methodology taught in the IDE course with the intent of producing revolutionary concepts and ideas. From my experience, the methods can only be learned experientially. This approach inherently increases serendipitous occurrences and can result in innovative, tangential solutions that may not have been considered otherwise.
Some of the keys of this methodology are to relinquish fear of failure, embrace failure, push ideas, try things and to challenge assumptions or pre-conceived notions of how/why things exist.
This was one of the first times I was explicitly asked to fail, and fail spectacularly. This project opened my eyes to an entirely new way of asking questions and solving problems.
